Our story

“I came from my pueblo speaking quiché, and learned everything new. The one thing I never changed is how we cook.”

Chiroy's opened in National City in 2017, a small family kitchen serving the food Martin grew up with in Guatemala. Word spread the old-fashioned way: plate by plate.

In 2024 the family moved the whole kitchen, clay pot included, to the Casa de Oro Shopping Center in Spring Valley. Same recipes, same scratch cooking, same welcome. New neighborhood.
